CLUB REHAB / GOLF TECHNOLOGY
The compact COOLSHOT 20 GIII keeps its attention on the distance to your target. Its black LCD presents measurements in one-yard or one-meter increments, with no slope setting to manage between practice and competition.
Nikon COOLSHOT 20 GIII
DESIGNED FOR YOUR GAME
LOCKED ON QUAKE gives vibration feedback when the flagstick is identified against a background. First Target Priority favors the nearer object, helping you check that the reading belongs to the target you intended.
Continuous measurement runs for up to approximately eight seconds. Gather distances to visible targets as you plan a landing area or assess a hazard.
The 20 GIII measures actual distance without an elevation-adjusted mode. This suits golfers who prefer to judge elevation effects themselves and keep the displayed number tied to the measured target.

A CLOSER LOOK
A 91 × 73 × 37 mm body keeps the instrument compact, while 6× magnification brings the chosen target into view. The 20 mm objective lens, 6.0° field of view and 16.7 mm eye relief define an optical package centered on everyday course measurement.

General maximum range and flagstick reference range are different. Target, light and weather conditions affect readings; flagstick distances are Nikon test references, not guaranteed results.
BEFORE YOUR FIRST ROUND
Set yards or meters to match how you think about club distances. Measurements appear in whole-unit increments, so keep that resolution in mind when comparing readings.
Look for a consistent reading and vibration confirmation at the flag. Target shape, reflectivity and weather affect measurement, so recheck a result that seems out of place.
The rainproof body has an IPX4-equivalent rating and should be protected from immersion. Power comes from one CR2 3V lithium battery; automatic shutoff reduces idle operation.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Nikon lists a general range of 6–800 yards. Its separate flagstick reference is 300 yards under Nikon test conditions, so the 800-yard maximum should not be treated as guaranteed pin reach.
It provides actual-distance readings only. There is no slope adjustment to enable or disable; check the rules of your event before using any distance-measuring device in competition.
This model has neither optical stabilization nor a built-in magnetic mount. Its equipment includes 6× optics, a black LCD display, First Target Priority and vibration flag confirmation.
