Calculate my grip sizeIs core size the same as grip size?
Core size describes the inside opening that fits the shaft. Undersize, Standard, Midsize and larger options describe the outside feel in your hands. Shaft diameter and build-up tape affect that finished feel.
How do I install this grip?
- Check shaft fit. Gather grip tape, compatible grip solvent, vise, rubber shaft clamp, hook blade, cloth and tray. Wear eye protection; work with ventilation, away from flames.
- Clamp without crushing the shaft. Cut the old grip away from your body; peel off grip and tape. Never cut or scrape graphite.
- Clean and dry the shaft. Apply smooth double-sided grip tape, peel its backing and fold the overhang over the shaft end.
- Cover the grip’s vent hole. Wet its inside with compatible solvent, then pour the excess over all the tape into the tray.
- Slide fully on while wet. Seat the cap against the shaft end and straighten before it sets.
- Wipe excess solvent. Leave undisturbed for the drying time on your tape/solvent labels. Before play, check it is dry, secure and cannot twist.
How do I clean and care for this grip?
- Use warm water with a little mild dish soap and a soft cloth to gently clean the grip.
- Remove all soap with clean water, then towel dry. Let the grip dry fully before play or storage.
- Store away from direct sun and excessive heat. Replace a grip that is cracked, hardened or remains slippery after cleaning.
