THE COVER STORY

Kraken

Turquoise tentacle and wave embroidery on a dark gray side panel
Kraken artwork wrapping the side.

Tentacles around the corner.

Pale turquoise curves and dark outlines carry the tentacles across the gray panel. The close-up shows how the artwork wraps the shape instead of stopping at the front.

Turquoise compass rose beside the pale lining of the Kraken cover
Compass detail and matching interior edge.

A compass on the reverse.

A turquoise compass rose anchors the opposite side, framed by curling tentacles. The matching pale lining appears along the edge, tying the inside to the sea-colored stitching.
