How should I choose a putter grip size?

Try the shape and size with your usual putting hold. The paddle, back shape and diameter change how each hand contacts the grip. Choose the combination you find most comfortable; swing-grip hand-size measurements do not prescribe a putter grip size.

Is this the same round shape as Star’s swing grips?

No. This putter model has a thick pistol-style profile and wrap texture, designed specifically for the putter.

How do I install this grip?
  1. Use Star grips with a Star nozzle/gun and regulated compressor. Wear eye protection. Star specifies 60–90 psi for its standard gun.
  2. Secure the shaft in a rubber clamp. Cut the old grip away from your body with a hook blade; peel off grip and tape. Never cut or scrape graphite. Clean the shaft.
  3. Add build-up tape only if needed for fit. Do not use double-sided adhesive tape or solvent for this air method.
  4. Start the grip over the shaft end. Insert the Star nozzle into the cap hole; apply controlled air while guiding the grip on. Stop if it balloons or binds.
  5. Seat the cap against the shaft end, align the front with the putter face and stop the air. Check it is secure and cannot twist before play. Air-only fitting needs no solvent drying time.
  6. Use this method only with Star grips and matching equipment. Do not use the gun to remove grips fitted with adhesive tape and solvent.
How do I clean and care for this grip?
  1. Use warm water with a little mild dish soap and a soft cloth to gently clean the grip. Avoid harsh solvents and abrasive pads.
  2. Remove all soap with clean water, then towel dry. Let the grip dry fully before play or storage.
  3. Store away from direct sun and excessive heat. Replace a grip that is cracked, hardened or remains slippery after cleaning.
